Wanted Fj60/62 running boards

Yes, we have been taking it camping a lot and would like a step to make getting in a bit easier. And sliders seem to be a little more than Id like to spend. I just dont see how that little bit of metal can cost $300 or $400.
it's not the metal, it's the labor
basicly takes me over 10 hours to built a set from start to finish...whats your time worth?
BTW, if you went and bought a new set of running boards, how much are they gonna run you?
and if you ever did get your rig in a situation where you needed the protection, running boards will be left on the trail.
