hey guys.
i finished installing an OME lift on a customer's fj60 not long ago and was'nt happy with the stock sway bar links. they were too short, causing the sway bar to hit the axle tubing and possibly causing shock damage under articulation. i had seen some extended sway bar links but wanted to build something beefier. so here's what i came up with:
this kit will work with 2-4" lifts on fj60s and fj62. includes a grade 9 allen bolt, all new polyurethane sway bar link bushings, grade 8 washers, grade 8 locknut and .120 wall dom tubing for the extended sleeves.
some of you might say it's overkill, but the stronger components did'nt cost that much more and the last hing i wanted to end up with was a bent sway bar link on a customers' vehicle, especially since i made them.
cost is $34.95 for a pair, shipping in the continental usa is $5. i can also make custom length units for a little more.
UPDATE!!!!!!!
the kit shown in the pic below will work for 2-3" lifts. i now also have a kit for 3-5" lifts. i could not find the allen bolt for a reasonable price ( cheapest i found was $18.63 each ) so i ended up going with grade 8 hex bolts. even those were difficult to find in the length required. anyways, price on this kit is the same even though the material cost is a little higher. pic of the longer links at the bottom of the thread.
i plan on doing some fj62 rear links as well, stay tuned for more info.
