Hey Andrew sorry just caught this.. Yes it would be a PITA and not worth it and yes the 55 frame is so much better.. I did 60 axles and 60 power steering last time. Takes some work but a day or two, not months
You know how to do that whole welding thing though which is a big plus! I keep going back and forth on the axle swap piece which is easy to do when they're both just sitting idle in the driveway. No time to work on them right now.
