They said I should have something to look at in a week

Once I get mine they will go on a shelf next to the lenses. My candle's and incence all around.

Not!

Some news from the mfg:

"Mike-

I received the sample piece a couple of days ago, finally. I am not sending it to you, as it was not up to our standards.

Because of the size of this emblem, it had to be cast differently than the TOYOTA pieces we made for you. Spincasting in zinc seemed the best way to go, to give you the best price. The spincaster finally admitted he had trouble with the size as well, after initially committing to the job and telling me the size was no problem. The spincaster did eventually produce the sample piece I got last week. This piece will not work for you.

The second alternative I had looked at originally was to sandcast them in brass. We work with a great foundry that does top notch work.

As soon as I received the sample piece, I contacted this foundry. We have worked with them for 4 years. I am sending the master to this foundry today. They will be cast in brass, not zinc. They will do the matchplate for it, and then go ahead and cast the entire run of 25 pieces. I should have all the castings at the end of next week.

Compared to the original piece, they will be heavier, but with the 4 studs, that should not be a problem.

These emblems will be significantly more expensive to produce, but that's our responsibility, and the price will be the same for you.

I apoligize for the delay, but our main concern is providing you with the best quality product.

Best regards-

Andrea
