i started tearing down the lv for interior body work and paint and have some questions.

1) is this bracket stock? if so, what's it for?

2) are these bows stock? there are three of them.

3) is this knob on the rear hatch support stock? there's only one and it's spring loaded, but i can't figure out it's purpose.

more to come.

1) does anyone know where i can find a replacement for this window helper spring?

2) top arrow is where a bolt passed all the way through the pillar to hold the seatbelt. the bottom arrow is a bolt right below the hole. is this where the seatbelt is supposed to go?

3) is this interior light switch stock?

yeah finally seeing your lv on mud. I will try to answer some of your questions
first post
1. I do not hav ethis bracket on my lv so I don't believe it is stock.
2. I beleive those bows are stock mine has a regualr type headliner with the bows underneath.
3. i will check to see if I have a nob but I belive it is some sort of locking nob for the lift gate to keep it up.
1. I seem to remember Matt getting some for his lv and documenting it in his build thread. mine are in decent shape so I did not replace them.
2. I would hav eto think those are Previous owner installed shoulder belts in that they would have covered your side cabin lights.
3. mine does not have that light switch but mine is a 64 so that could have been added later.

as far as your windows go I am actually reinstalling mine right now so the info is fresh. they do not make any of the stock gaskets anymore. you can however get fj40 front windsheild gaskets and have glass cut to fit. the stock glass is to big to fit in the fj40 gaskets. my side gaskets are in ok shape but i think I am going to put new shatter proof glass in all the way around. so I ordered 4 fj40 front windsheild gaskets for the job. most glass shops are able to cut new glass pretty easy in that it is all flat glass. so far I have only reglassed the lift gate. if your gaskets are in decent shape I would pull them out at some point to check for rust underneath. the old boxy stile seem to be water magnets

What year is your LV? Mine has the bows, the knob on the liftgate stay and the bracket in the picture is not on my truck either.

Do you know if your truck is a North American production? Yours is the only other truck I've seen with the side pillar mounted lights and my truck originated, and is still, in Guatemala. Do you have a floor shift transfer or the dash shift as found in US trucks?

my truck is a 66fj45v. it came from south australia. it's been converted to lhd, hence the * in the title. it does have a floor shift transfer case and someone put in a 74(transitional year) f engine.

where do the bows go as far as the headliner is concerned? in the pics i've seen the headliner is tucked behind the lip running around the inside of the truck. in picture #5 you can see what i'm talking about. the bows are mounted below the lip.

I'll ad to what others have said.

The bracket you are looking at I don't have a 100% answer to, but I don't think it is stock.
The bows are stock, they hold up the headliner. There are little sleeves on the inside of the headliner that those bows slide into.
I have that knob on my LV. It is some sort of lockout for the lift gate.
No idea where to get a spring.
My seat belts are connected to the floor behind the drivers seat.
I don't have that door light switch, but I also don't have that cool little interior light on the pillar.

My LV is a Feb. 1965.

Hope this helps. Can you step back and take an overall pic of your LV. Like to see some pics.

Dave, if you look closely you'll see that the bows on this LV, like mine, are about 1 1/2 - 2" wide and are BELOW the headliner and bolt to the roof structure below where the U.S. headliner attaches. I think it has to do with making the U.S. model "nicer" than other markets even back in the '60's.

My LV is a Guatemalan market truck so it lacks some of the "niceties" like the hidden headliner bows of the U.S. trucks (not that I care about that any).
