Curious if anyone knows of any specific websites or has any info they can post up pertaining specificly to the 45 lpb. I have been checking birfield.com, but they have been down for a while.

Heading to that car show this Saturday and for the 40 and 45lv in the past year(s) I have made up a 3 ring binder with about 50 pics of the process and a brief history of the model of the vehicle.

Probably info about the years the lpb was imported into the U.S., why it stopped, how long into other countries, why it was developed, things specific to the lpb, any other stuff cool I'm missing??

Thanks in advance, Matt

I scaned the 1964 LPB intro lit

http://www.picturetrail.com/cruiserdude

look for 45LPB into album, 1st few pics are not part of it

Thanks John, exactly the kinda of stuff I am looking for and want people to read when they are standing next to the truck.

I actually printed off the brochure you had scanned in Cruiser Literature 2 about the FJ45P-B. That will look good in the book I am making. Also use some of the other info in a half page or so bio about the truck.

I guess if there was a site now or info with a little more history on the #'s of trucks imported and made...that would be perfect.:)

Thanks, again

Matt

I like the part on there where is says:

Seating Capacity 3

You might be able to stuff 3 people in there, but then I don't think there would be enough room left inside of the cab to actually drive the thing.

well the LPB was sold in the US from 64 thru 67, other markets the 45 was sold thru 1985(even though the 40/2 ended in 84). the short beds ended everyplace in 67, except maybe for markets that made their own, like Brazil, etc.

all US spec 45LPBs would be 3 speeds, drum brakes, semi floater rear axle, ALL had removeable tops of course.

canada had the 45 LPB starting in I "think" 75, might have been 76, up thru at least 1980, maybe longer. those all had the rear full floater, no emmisons.

I've done it. Three adults. Its tight. I got in first and put my seatbelt on. The other two got in and decided against putting their belts on.

Leg room for the middle is non-existing. She had to place both legs over into the passenger well, but I didn't make all of the shifts - though 4th was tough.

I drive it all the time with my two little girls without a problem.

June of 1964! I have been looking for that information for awhile now. Now we know when the lpb was first introduced.

It has been rumored we know where the first lpb built in 65 is...

thats the beauty of 3 on the tree......still isn't an easy feat ;)
