I'm selling a starter from my 74 FJ40 for $40 shipped. I had it checked at
Advance auto parts. They said its good, and I heard it crank. I'm selling
it with no guarantee. Specter says it will fit 1/73 - 12/78, but I think it
will fit all FJ40,45,55's. Maybe even 60's. My 62 had a different starter, but
I've tried a 62 starter on my 40 and it worked. It appears to be a rebuild. The stud is a little bent, but I screwed a nut onto it and the threads are fine, its not loose either.
