FJ40 Side Awning mounting

Hi Folks,

Just wondering how i should go about mounting a side awning to my FJ40 hardtop roof? Im planning to install the awning only without a roof rack? Any ideas?

I was thinking getting some cross rails for the roof and mounting it there> But i cannot find any rain gutter clamps? Anyone know where i can buy some cross rails and rain gutter clamps?

And please do share any other ideas on how to mount a side awning

You could use these gutter mounts, and maybe some unistrut as cross bars, or any of the Yakima/Thule type cross bars...

Thule makes gutter feet. Part #387 is 8" high and #953 is 11" high. I believe they should work, you will need to check fitment and height to be sure.
