are you talking about the step below the pindle hook in the rear that bolts up between the bumperettes and the pindle hook? if thats what your talking about i have one but on one of the sides where the step bolts on to the frame needs to be fixed. it got cut off but i can have it rewelded. let me know.

Hey Wes,

I think I have a couple of rear steps here...not sure of the years, but one has the bolt flange tucked in and the other has the flanges tucked out. I can get pics if you like (and are still looking, of course :)

Hi Mike!

I should have one on the way. If it doen't work out I'll let you know. Honestly I'm not sure which is correct for 64.

Hope you doing well :) Thanks again for the offer.

Wes,

Sure thing; did you get that 1 barrel to work? Hope Santa was good to ya this year!

Mike

On a 64 it would be the flange in. The flange out one is for the 74 and later that shared the same bolts as the bumperettes. Those holes would be closer together than the ones on the earlier step. You can use a later one on the early cruisers you just have weld the holes and drill new ones. If wesintl doesn't want I would be interested.

John,

Well, I learned something today; can I go home now? :) But yeah, If Wes doesn't need it, I'm sure we can work somethin' out.

Mike

John, let me double check with FF that the ears on the step are in :) I really want to keep this cruiser period since i'm tossing the rear diving board conferr bumper :)

Mike, I'm not sure the carb is going to work or not. I tore it down and there is one spot that doesn't look good after I removed the screw on the bottom side of the sight glass. I can't remember what it is off the top of my head. The base is definatly toast, I still have it soaking too :). I have a good one though.

Wes,

Bummer on the carb :( if there's nothing you can use on it, let me know and I can get your $$ back to ya if you like.

I'll try to dig those steps out tonight and get some pictures for you/John.

Hey John,

I found the "ears out" step last night and tore my shop apart looking for the "ears in" version...which one are you looking for? The later model one has a few PO-added 'options'; i.e. some bar stock and angle welded on. The lower rear reinforcing web has been bent on one side too. It could be brought back with some TLC, but it'll take a little work. I've got a pic, but it exceeds the mud bandwidth. Let me know if you're still interested; I can send the pic directly to ya if you like.

Mike

Wes,

There's one wiper motor left, but no idea whether or not it works...I can take a look this weekend and let you know...
