Hey guys,
From Springfield and need to move on to sell my 40. It is in the classifieds and on the OMC club website. It's a 69 with a 2002 5.3 Vortec with 700r4 mated to the original TC with AA. I put a lot of time and money into it but need to move on to an 80 series for the kids. They are my priority and I don't make enough to have three vehicles. So just wondering if anyone would be interested up here in the KC area.

Thanks,

vortec and 700r4 or 4l60E?
I had someone local ask about your craigslist ad and much of it was confusing so I told him to pass on it. but i'll help if you answer some more questions.. YOu mention power brakes but all I see is some sort of GM? master cylinder bolted to the firewall? Is there a hidden booster I don't see and when you did brake work did you do any conversion to disks and if so what type? large knuckle/small knuckle etc.. Your using the stock 3speed transfer case(10 spline) or did you upgrade to the newer style(16 or 19 spline)? WIlling to help but want to guide people the correct direction for that amount of $.
Power steering? What type, 3.5 turn or 4.25, 3 or 4 bolt box, is it sleeved thru the frame etc.. Looks like you have a GM column in it? Many more details would be needed. THaNKS.... Erik.

Thanks Eric
The break booster is hydraulic. It came off a 2500 silverado. I didn't want to modify the axles so they are still drum break. The transfer case was already mated to another 700r4 that I replaced. I don't think it was 10 spline, I thought it was 19 spline but I could be wrong. The power steering box came off the truck I pulled the motor out of. It is 4.25 turn. it is sleeved through the frame and sits beside the winch. The cooling system is also out of the truck so it is all enclosed.

Thanks for your help. If you have any questions and would like a guru to help out, Marty or Thad of OMC can help out also. They say it is well worth the asking price but it is really only worth what someone wants to pay for it.

I have seen this truck and the engine work is very nice. If you have any questions, give him a call. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to his own truck.

Nope, I was wrong. It is 10 spline. Sorry:whoops:

thanks for the info. and if anyone local is interested I know Thad would be more than willing to go check it out and i'd be more than happy to assist a club member by doing a phone inspection with THad looking at it and giving me feedback.
