i got them from a 78 to go on my 77, 77 and earler did not come with them, they plug right into the defrost tubes under the dash and all ya gots to do is drill holes in dash and they point right at the side windows to defrost them, oh just listed more stuff 2

These defrost the side window on your fj40, these were a factory part on 78 and up, I am sure that installing these would help bring back good compression on your tired 2F, almost sure of it
