I’m toying with the option of removing my doors from my 1966 FJ45 and putting later 76+ doors on. Looking for a good set of doors. If you have some , please shoot me a pm. I’m open to selling or trading my current doors.

There is a simple work around someone on here was selling. It bolts on to the original latch spot and makes the newer door’s usable.

I did this to my 65 FJ45. The only thing needed is a custom plate with the same bolt hole pattern and a new late model striker welded on. Easy, so if for some reason you want to go back it’s only two screws.

This was my work around.

Looks great and easily reversible if you want to run older doors. No way I’d cut and fab up for running the newer doors when there is such a simple solution like this.

I have some doors for our Freeborn In the USA build. It’s a 78. It’s in the body shop right now getting a fresh Freeborn Red paint job. We are switching directions. If you look at the end of the build thread you’ll see what direction we’re going.

If you’re still looking for a set of later doors, I have a set from a 78. I’d like to eventually sell or trade them for a set of early doors for my 73. These are a little rough but complete. Originally red but at some point they were spray painted white on the outside. Rust on the inner skin bottom. They have glass just have them rolled down.
