Will using teflon tape on the temp sensor affect the reading of the guage ? Or will using the tape on the sender fitting affect the reading? I kinda remember somone
saying not to use any tape on the temp sender as it does not allow for a good ground. Any idea on this ? Thanks

it may be true to the point where the thread is a really loose fit in the mount. I personally can not see how it would still screw in with tape as it is a really tight fit. You might be able to get a couple of wraps around it, but you have to make sure that the body of the temp sender makes good contact with the body of the block or t-housing etc. Usually the thread on the bolts will cut through tape in places making the connection, but you cannot be sure without trying it. It should not leak without tape anyway.
