Don't know if this has been covered, but I was in need of cheap stock shocks for my 55 and didn't have any old ones to measure or really any way to cycle the suspension and shop around for something that might work, but in my search I found that these fit and work great, and cheap too...

Monroe 20818 (front)
Monroe 20751 (rear)

just tossing that out there

How much are the Monroes each?

I would think a quick search on ebay etc would find a better set then standard, and first drive you will be pleased you spent the extra coin...

Im running foam cells currenty, and its such an improvment over standard gas IMHO

only $18 a piece...and they will work just fine no more than I will drive it, and its not gonna be a smooth ride anyway. of course there are better shocks out there, there will always be better. I didn't say anything about finding better than stock. Just wanted to toss the info out there because it helped me.

Wow, $18 that is cheap!!!
My thoughts were you were looking at spending $100 per shock, and I was thinking for only 40 bucks more....
$18 is hard too go past..
