I just bought a 1971 FJ-40 and it has the Ramsey PTO winch with the straight 6 cylinder and 3spd on the tree.

The winch looks complete and it looks to be in great shape. The guy I bought it from took it apart and cleaned it up nice. It looks clean inside as well.

You get everything including the parts that bolt to the transfer case.

I am selling the engine, tranny and t-case as well.

Steering column, stock steering components, radiator and support can go too.

I am uploading pics as I type this. Go here: http://www.4wheelingplus.com/1971-fj40/

Best offers. I can deliver to most places in Washington State for fuel costs.

Thanks,

PTO winch

I was wondering how mcuh you want for the winch. Like a 50 bucks or couple hundred bucks. I could buy it for 50 or maybe a little bit more. Where are you in Washington I am in moscow Idaho os maybe close
thanks Adam

Price = best offer. Sorry. I know that sucks but I'm not exactly sure what the stuff is worth so I am trying to get the most out of it without shooting myself in the foot. ;)

PM me your offer or post it here.

If I don't get reasonable offers by the time I pull all the parts out of the Cruiser I will eBay them..

Thanks,
Ron

BTW: The engine runs. The fuel pump is dead but if I pour gas into the carb she fires up. The oil looks clean and I didn't notice any crank or lifter noises. Also: no major smoke out of exhaust either.

I may just hook up an electric fuel pump and see if she drives. :)

BTW, this is not Ebay.

A bidding war on parts is poor IMHO.

Either figure out a price by asking what they typically go for or just put them on Ebay. Right now you are kinda being a jerk..

I'm sorry you feel that way.

I've sold a ton of items just like this over the last 9 years or so and you are the first to ever mention this.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Should I eBay my stuff from now on instead of putting it in the forums?

I'm being serious. I would like to hear everyones opinions on asking for the highest offer in a forum setting instead of putting it on eBay.

IMHO: eBay is a rip off. They charge fees for everything and that only raises the prices even more than asking for an offer in a forum. Not to mention all the forms involved with posting an auction. I only use eBay if I have too.

What's the difference in posting an asking price and saying "OBO" afterwards?

If I said I wanted $600 OBO for the PTO and I got a PM saying that someone would be willing to offer $300 for the PTO how is that different than the way I did it?

I'm truly not trying to be confrontational. I am just interested in learning the IH8MUD.com forum etiquette for posting items up for sale. :)

Don't know if this makes a difference or not but I can take VISA, M/C, Discover, PayPal, money orders, 1st born child, part trades, etc. ;)
