Well,
After pouring though hundreds of posted, I figured I would take a short cut to the peanut gallery.

I'm running OME mediums all around, with serious stinkbug. I'm looking for ideas/combos of springs and caster set up to fix this; without breaking bank...since I just spent $$$ on the INTI.

I currently have no winch or bumper yet....but plan on it.

Thanks in advance!!

By mediums, do you mean 851/860? Or something else? I would recommend replacing the fronts with 850 (not the J version), especially if you are adding a bumper and winch. The 850/860 is a great combo. This may get you into the realm of caster correction though. I ran the 850 without CC for years, but every truck is different.

BTW: mediums all around should not make it stinkbug.

I have thought about the Metal Tech spacers....look beefy. As for caster, I need to run go through my paperwork...I did an alignment after I installed the lift. I know its out of spec, as I'm still running stock bushings.

Not sure If I would need caster plates or bushing (Slee Blue)..I will post my caster sweep in a few.

I'm running 851/860's. I did get these used from a friend...could be the fronts are a little weak, as he ran an ARB w/winch for a few years.

My current caster is -1.6 on both sides.

I figure my options are 850's front with maybe Slee Blues???

Or, spacers (metal tech) and either Slee blues or plates???

For the price of plates I can get new 850's for about $25 more.

Thoughts???:hhmm:

I was running 850/860 before I got my rear bumper, then went to 863 in the rear. I had a front bumper but no winch. No stinkbug that I can remember.

Springs and caster correction (plates or bushings) do completely different things. One does not replace the other.

I too ran 850/860 with no stinkbug. Front ARB, no winch and stock rear bumper.

Drove great with no caster correction even though it was out of spec.

Sorry...I meant for the price of spacers (metaltech) I can get springs (850's Heavies) to replace my (851 mediums).

After measuring the front end from the ground to the bottom of the flare, I'm sitting 37.5 in the front and 39.0 in the rear.

Both 850 heavies and 851's mediums are 2.5 " springs. Like I said it could be that my front springs have seen better days.

I am running 850J and 863 and have a stink bug stance. Thinking about getting spacers up front to level since a winch is in my near future.

Although the 850 and 851's are bothe 2.5" springs, keep in mind the 851's are a 2.5" spring including carrying an additional 110 pounds while the 850's are a 2.5" spring including carrying an additional 110 - 250 pounds. So, when loaded similarly the truck on the 850's will sit higher in the front; thus less stinkbug.

From what I've read, the 850's are 20mm taller than the 851's, which is slightly more than 3/4 of an inch. Based on my measurement I need about 1 1/2 inches to sit level. I prefer going with springs, but its looking like the Metal tech 1.5 inch spacers may be the most economical route.

LOL - Man I have the same problem! I've been mulling over this for months. The stinkbug is killing me and I want to level out my cruiser.

Sounds like we have similar setups but, I have the OME caster corrections on my rig already. I was also considering the installing the 1.5" MT spacers. My only concerns are if the drive shaft angles with the increased lift will cause vibration (cause it will be pushing 4" of lift), and if I need to readjust the casters again (was considering adding MAF's 2" control arm drop brackets). Not sure if that would even be necessary though.

Let me know how it turns out. Really interested in the results you get.
