Fix 83 frame or put body on 91 4runner feame

Good afternoon all.

My 83 frame is rotten from rust on the back half so I need to build new rear half. Not crazy hard just time. In addition I also aquired a dual case set up. I also aquired a 91 4runner that runs good but cannot title it at all and body is rusted out crazy bad too.

So my thought was swap bodies and SAS the 91 frame. Question I have is the 91 3.0 engine decent .

Asking if the 3.0 is decent is like asking what type of underwear is best. It all depends on what's been done to it and the way it was used. No its not as strong as the R or RE but it is decent. As for fram swap you'll be in for more work modifying the 91 frame to fit the 83 truck.

Toast will say the 3.0 is crap and KLF would say its a decent motor. It all depends.

But sounds like 22 r maybe just as good.

Hahahaha you guys know me all to well!! I will say that a fresh 3.0 is better than an old worn 22r but that isn't saying a whole lot I guess.

Well its not fresh 3.0. 141000 miles on it.
