Fishing Cart + 2" square tube = Hitch Cargo Tray Cart

I have a wheeled fishing cart that I want to add a piece of tubing so that it will work with my receiver hitch. Is 3/16" wall ok, or should I use 1/4" wall. It will never have more than 500 lbs. and will typically have far less: ice chests, deer, fishing stuff, etc

I think 3/16 would be fine as long as you balance the load if you can. In your pic - both coolers are on one side.

don't skimp, use 1/4". Never know when you'll want to put a big rock on there or a really really big fish...
