About to buy a fish scale today for my knuckle rebuild. What range should I get. I'm not sure what else on my cruiser i'd use it for other than the shims and the main wheel beerings? Oh what is the pounds required when measuring the what required thickness for the shims. does it matter where you add or take off shims from the knuckle or when I've replaced the knuckls beerings will the old shims be the right thickness?

thanks

Another use...

to pre-tension your transfer case. Not sure of the size fish to torque it to but Marlin's Crawlers could tell you, he told me the whole story of why the manual calls for a fish scale - pretty interesting. Of course a torque wrench would be another option.

5-12ish. Most little fish scales go up to 8 lbs then go to a larger one that measures in the 28lb range. Get the bigger one.
