I saw this storage box at Harbor Freight and decided this would be perfect for cruiser. I did not want to have drawers in the back to keep more floor room for dog. The only problem was how to make it easy to take out and secure in back area.
I stood outside my garage looking over all the spare junk inside ... when I noticed the old yakima bike rack for another vehicle I used to have.
Here is what I did with the rack:
1)The brace that normally attached to the spair tire-mounted it using existing bolts from hook for third row seat at back of cruiser.
2) Used yakima cross support bars as brace for back of storage box.
Now because the brace that normally is the spare tire has a swivel that tightens down,I can use that to tighten down the back support bars of the storage bin to keep from sliding around. I have a friend that will weld the two brackets and i can remove zip ties. Hope this makes sense.
