Pics of the switch setup? Debating about doing this in-dash or picking up a Whelen PCC8R and running everything through that.

Im away from my computer, but here is a thread with a pic of my switch. It's not factory clean, but I actually prefer standard, large toggles that you can feel without looking. You could throw all kinds of switches in there. The light is on when the switch (drls) is off.

Nice, looks clean. I was wondering about your username...but based on the other thread I'm guessing you ran the stick on a Bell 407 for a while? Explains the affinity for toggle switches, indeed. ;)

That switch in that location kinda makes my knee hurt.

Yeah, Im a rotor driver by trade. Maybe 1000+ in the 407, another couple thousand in others. Darn good ship. Just moonlighting as a cop.

Unless you are 7 feet tall, your knee will not come close. I'm 6'1", all leg, and my knee is nowhere near it.

I envy you. Wife and I both want our rotor wing certs, but its an expensive proposition. Two of my close buddies from high school are USAF pilots. They say its cheaper to start with fixed wing and do rotor as an add-on. Looking into it.

I don't think you save much, but you end up with dual ratings! Be careful, the reactions you develop in a stuck wing will kill you in a helicopter. Let me know if you are really looking at it. I instructed for quite a few years. I could point you in the right direction.
