When I push on the clutch pedal I am getting a creaking sound again. I looked at the clutch booster while pushing the pedal and I can see the booster move: the whole booster moves a little.
The nuts on the booster are tight.
I can see two nuts way up under the dash that might help hold the clutch pedal support assembly.
Not sure how to get at them.
Anyone else deal with this?

If you disconnect the booster vacuum hose, does it change the clutch action at all?

If there's no difference, you are basically strong legging the clutch. And this will likely flex the firewall a bit.

The clutches on these trucks are pretty easy and you can drive them without realizing that you don't have any help from the power booster...

Hmm. Thee are ominous replies.
I checked the clutch booster and it is working.
I'm off to Cheyenne Wyo. tomorrow. I hope the pedal assembly can hold out for a few more weeks.

If it makes you feel better, for ten years, my booster has been doing absolutely nothing except acting as a very large and weird shaped spacer in the clutch system. The firewall hasn't fatigued out yet. Not sure if a 60 series firewall would be thinner or thicker than a 70.
