Today.

The pictures don't do it justice. It's a nice looking truck. The spoiler/wing thing looks incredibly stupid, though.

It's crazy, I'm in a town of about 50,000 people and there are at least 4 or 5 in town!

I don't like those things at all but I don't think the "spoiler" wind deflector thingy on the 200 looks nearly as bad than the ones fitted on late year 100 LC/LX's (I refer to it as the basket handle). My 2001 LC has the "old style" wind deflector that doesn't bother me one bit.

I'm not too sure how effective any of those things are, to be honest !!

the 200's are nice , the spoiler is optional.

I kinda like my spoiler...I chose it as an option. They report some savings in gas mileage, although I don't know if that is the case.

There are RRS and Range Rovers all over the place in Raleigh however I have only seen 2 LC's since they came out and 1 LX570.

Thought I saw one - then realized it was a highlander...

I finally saw a Lexus LX570 on the street...was making a right, and it was coming in traffic. I was so excited to see the driver, until it was a 45+ yr old soccer mom. The thing looked ugly after that. Oh well, we all knew they would be scooped up by soccer moms looking for something bigger than the Highlander.

I just saw one just north of Key West FL. White with Dealer tags from Niles...funny because they deal in GM and Nissan. Duncan is the Toyota/Ford man down here.

That is funny...I thought you were smarter then that....guess I was wrong also! :flipoff2:

My father got the LX570. Very nice!

I had a chance to test drive one, and they are very nice. My LC200 feels a little more rugged, and looked it when they were side by side. Same difference as the Lexus LX and Toyota LCs of yesteryear. Better leather and amenities. I was just so disappointed to see the soccer mom driving it.

Man, I pass a new black LX on my way downtown almost everyday and I cannot stand the exterior of that thing ! That homely nose job, those tacky tail lights, and all the chrome...EEEgads, it's a Lexus Navigator\Escalade:crybaby::crybaby:. Awful, IMO. Like I have said before: When you are driving the thing, at least you can't see how ugly it is !! Also, it looks like there will be pretty much no help from the aftermarket to make it more off-roadable (like the LX470 was). But YES, even I will agree the interior is smashing. Still, especially after seeing the LX, the LC looks better and better all the time !! That pic of the silver 200 with the ARB bull bar looks fabulous !!

Indeed. LC 200 with the ARB bumpers rock
If I had a 80k to spend on a vehicle I'd definitely get the LC 200
The older Land cruisers are quite popular in the River Oaks area though. River Oaks is where Bush SR. and the ruling class of Texas live. Surprisingly I've only seen about 2 LC 200's in the past 6 months.

I guess Bush Jr. isn't making enough dough for his papi and friends?

Oh, I'm quite sure they are doing very well with their oil leases out in the Midland\Odessa TX area. Especially with oil at $120 + a barrel these days !! :crybaby: :crybaby:

Where are you at? When I go to the dealers here in MTL, they just get that "hun?:confused:" look when I ask about the new LC...don't even get me started on when I ask for something for my 40

I'm in Calgary.

Went to three dealerships asking to get one...all where :confused:
Went to three other dealerships asking them to broker one from the states, none of them wanted to make a buck.
So I did the research and started looking in October. It wasn't approved for the Canadian market, so I was deflated. By Nov or Dec. 17th (can't remember) it was ok to bring into Canada. Found a dealership that would sell to me, right after Xmas. Picked it up outside of Seattle late January, and hauled ass over the mountains back home.

It turned out to be the best car/truck purchase experience.

I have an 80 series, and my buddy has a '94 Surf.(right hand drive diesel). When we go to the dealership to get parts, it's like pulling teeth. 1/2 the guys automatically say "we don't deal with those Toyotas", and the other 1/2 you have to explain what you are looking for.

It's a real pain. In the end, you always get "should've bought the Lexus"
