Sorry, I think I somehow accidently delated them. I'm putting some of them back up.

Very nice. I like the curtains. Have you thought about making more and selling them? I'd be game. My wife would really like them.

Which specific Shady Boy awning did you purchase? I have a AO rack as well, would love to add an awning. Yours looks perfect.

Thanks,

TJK

Looks like the VW Van version. The RV one looks like a huge umbrella.
My question is -- how much are they? I didn't see a price on their site and I know I probably won't call them just for a price quote...not yet anyhow...

Hey Doug,

Aftrer many mouse clicks I found the page with pricing!:D

Thanks Josh!
They seem to be pretty secretive about pricing.
I guess I know how much I won't be spending based on what their competitors charge for similar products.

Q: How much is the Shady Boy?
A: Our price is so much lower than the competition, you'll have to contact us for further details. Here is what the competition charges...

I save every receipt on my cruiser but for some reason I cannot locate the one for the awning. I honestly do do recall how much I paid for it. I however, do not live all that far from the designer/developer, so I drove and picked it up and paid in canadian dollars which was helpful. If there is enough interest I can contact the owner and ask about a quanity discount. I will find out at what quanity we would get a break and let everyone know. I can tell you that the awning was great. It's fast and easy to setup and we had no problems with it with daily use for 3 weeks straight. It kept us completely dry as we were in the rain and snow most of the time. It's also compact and mounts easily to the ob roof rack. I can take and post some detail pic of the awning and its setup, and how I mounted it if interested.

I'd possibly be interested having more made as I still have the pattern. I can take photos of those too to show the setup. Honestly there may be better option out there such as try a motorhome accessory shop. There are apparenty OEM curtains that you can get fro Japan but are hard to come by. Mot was able to locate me a incomplete set at the time I was looking for them.
