"Sounds good man, we'll have to hook up sometime. My brother-in-law also lives here and has a recently purchased 91 FJ80.

I don't know your price range, but there's a locked 94 with 184K in Wellsville, KS (listed on cars.com as a KCMO address but the seller has it parked at a pot lot on the main drag in Wellsville), they're asking $6500, but you could probably take it for $4000. Be warned though, it had very low coolant when I looked at it (PHH, Head Gasket ??), and the interior is a bit rough."

Was this 94 gray with a brushguard? It has been for sale forever it seems. I am close to buying a 97 LX450 locked with 100K, very nice shape in and out.

Yep, that's the one. By the sounds of it, you're better off with the LX than the FZJ in Wellsville. Good luck!

Nice rig!
You KC guys need to hook up with Erik Christainsen sometime.
Aside from being one of my best freinds, and a diligent TLCA officer, he's a pretty decent guy.
His contact info is in the front of every Toyota Trails, or pm him here, he goes by tornadoalleycruiser.
Also, be sure and check out the TornadoAlley clubhouse in the tlca chapters section;)

Is there anything I'm missing? Like a cheap "duh" mod?

1. If you are tall at all - Landtank seat mod is HIGHLY recommended- https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=40158&highlight=seat
2. If you want a real cupholder - MontanaCruiser (thats me:D) Cup Holder "mod" - https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=15555&highlight=cup+holder
3. CDL and 7-Pin mod
4. Not a mod but cheap and needed at your mileage - Starter Contacts
5. Dog food for C-Dan as you dont want any bad mojo from his voodoo doll/truck;)
6. Dorm fridge for the garage to keep the #6's cold while doing PM
7. Remove POS factory rack
8. Upgrade factory speakers and/or deck
9. Reprogram your brain to forget about MPG and be happy with the reliability

Congrats and

Congrats on the Cruiser. You'll like the '94. I have one too.

1. only 6' tall, I don't think I need that mod, although I do have a couple friends that are 6'8" and 6'9" so maybe a passenger seat mod is in order.

2.Cool, good idea, thanks!

3. Its on my list

4. That's one of the first things I'm doing

5. Dog food??? please forgive my noobness

6. Way ahead of you there :D

7. Still contemplating this one

8. Holy crap does this stereo suck, I'll probably upgrade to an iPod compatible deck and some better speakers.

9. I look at it like this, my FX4 Ranger got the same mileage as this, but the Cruiser doesn't cost me $350 a month to keep around (plus its a hell of a lot cooler).
