Hello Guys,
I have peeling/cracking paint on my fender, have you guys seen this before? What would be the most practical and cost effective method of fixing this.
This area is slowly expanding and i want to deal with it now before winter hits. attached are some pictures of the affected area.

Thank you.
Ali C.

I recommend at least sanding the area down with 180 grit sandpaper using a DA sander and coat it with a 2k primer before painting. All those little "cracks"you see are fractures in the paint which is lifting away from the primer. You will need to remove them via sanding/chemically stripping/ media blasting etc. before you can prime.

can i sand and prep it for a bedliner product.
I was thinking to both sides on top of the fenders, and also do the wheel arches.
What say ya!

yeah, it would work fine. Again, just prep it really good and make sure you tape the heck put of the truck before painting. Almost all bedliner type materials will get everywhere you shoot them. They are also a real bitch to remove. SEM makes a good bedliner system which I've used in the past with great results.

I am thinking of going for Duplicolor truck bed coating.
It is not as rough as rhino liner and people have used it on woofer boxes, bike fuel tanks etc.
I will apply it to the wheel well arches and below the door sills.
Taken the side steps off now.
I am thinking of buying the roll on kit , what will ensure that i avoid issues with spraying i.e. more controlled application.
Will take pics and post them.
What do you guys think?

I really like the Upol Raptor product. I've done the interior of a couple cruisers and it turned out awesome. They have a tintable version, too, so you can color match if you want. And, it comes with the spray gun.

ok, guys that is what i used for a budget fix.
there was some left over, so i sanded and sprayed the spare wheel.
The product comes in a can called EZliner available at CDN Tire. $9.99
