Nice rig & write-up. I am still just dreaming of mods - don't use it enough.

Love the keys, spent the winter working there for Wilma in 05-06. Great place to have to work

Thanks for taking the time to do the write-up. Water tank is way cool.

Nice 100, Great write up. The Marshall shirt rocks also, I went there in '98.

Yea, it was a mess down here then. Luckily, my appenxix was acting up so most of the cleanup was done while I was recovering. It is cool that I got to have surgery when the Hospital was running on its generators.

It was pretty bad seeing all of the new cars from Key West being shipped passed here for disposal (or re-sale) up on the mainland. I remember a couple of brand new Vipers with yellow x's on them and seaweed in the wheel wells.

Glad that is all behind us.

Thanks! I wondered how long it would take for a fellow Marshall Grad to speak up. I was there from 1999-2003. I have nothing but good things to say about that school.

UPDATE: The home brewed sliders worked out well. The North FL Cruiserheads have some pretty mean trails up north. I felt like I was back in WV several times on their trail ride last weekend. Awesome bunch of guys and gals.

My 2 pinion front diff held out very well also. Whew!

I'll have to save up for a tougher back bumper and give that another go up there. You know you are with some hard core guys when they look at you and say, "You about took that flare off back there." Upon further inspection, you find that you actually glanced a tree and got your first little tree bruise.

Too much fun...I can finally relax now that I have exercised my diff lock for the quarter.

Homebrew sliders? Got any more info on that?

Nice write up BTW !

Nice Writeup. I would guess the truck was imported through Southeast Toyota and the seats were a Port mod along with the "Moon Unit" flares.

Southeast Toyota Distributors (SET) is the world's largest privately owned distributor of Toyota vehicles.... (and) distributes new Toyota vehicles to 169 dealerships in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina. The company has a history of "upgrading" or modifying it's imports to meet US market demands and is credited with helping Toyota to become successful in the US. They just sold their 6th million Toyota.

That sounds about right...Now I have a flare complex. Thanks NMuzj100:flipoff2:.

Maybe if I leave them on long enough, they will fit in once we convert these things to fly. FWIW...The Heepers and Chebys pay top dollar for flares like mine.

Moon unit...HAHA. I find myself in the mood for a little Frank Zappa all of the sudden...Watch out where the Huskies go, and don't you eat that Yellow Snow.

Build Thread Update

Haven't cleaned off my camera card in a while and found some mod photos over the past year or so...

4x4Labs Rear Bumper Build/Install. Pretty similar to other's experiences except I had to modify it a little to fit just right.

Fender bender took a while to fix. Yes you can cut a 100 series frame with a dremel...not pleasant, but possible. Thanks to BlueCruiser for the A-Team Bumper. Wish I was out in Moab Banging it up with everyone again this year.

Dension iPod Adaptor. Ended up finding a cable to replace the circuit board and resistor.
