I have a problem removing the FD cable from my pigs. I have a 70 and 71, I am fixing up the '70 and the cable on it is rusted and destroyed while the one on the '71 is perfect. I got it all ready to come out but I cannot pull it out. From what I can tell, it is supposed to pull out from the dash. The problem I am encountering is the nub that sticks up... When you pull out the range selector, a lever acts on the nub and pulls the FD button out. The cable slides into the housing but I can't get it out. Am I missing a set screw somewhere or what?.
