We still have hours to go and stop a few more times for fuel and magic diesel fuel screw adjusting.
We cross into Utah around 11:00.
I eventually fall back into the zombie state, and on one particular stretch of highway that is one high-speed whoop-jump after another, my eyes are bounced around into my head so badly that I am seeing cross-eyed. I have to close one eye to keep my sh!t together.
Sometime after midnight, we bail on the idea of making it to Halls Crossing and we camp at the base of the Bears Ears, leaving only about 45 minutes of travel in the morning.
