Fan Shroud Replacement - Lower Mounting location?

I just replaced the found shroud on my 2001 with a 1FZ-FE. I noticed there are only two bolts at the top, and the bottom doesn't clip into anything. The old one was the same.

It is possible that the radiator has been replaced, but everything looks factory so I don't think so. This is a GCC spec LC; some maybe the radiator is larger/different.

Is there really nothing holding the bottom of the fan shroud to the radiator? I looked at some parts diagrams, and I'm not seeing any missing clips or bolts. I don't like it.

The shroud sits on two plastic brackets. One bracket is integrated on top of the return outlet... at least it is on the 2uz-fe automatic. Aftermarket radiator might not have such brackets.

Thanks. I did see some similar brackets on my radiator, but they don't line up with the shroud tabs. The tab on the shroud does line up with the return outlet, but the bracket is in a different place, closer to the edge of the radiator. Looks like some fabrication is in order.

Well, there is a spot that looks just like that, but it is blank, so either it wore off (which I don't think is likely) or it is aftermarket.
