Family Trip Labor Day Weekend 2026

My in laws and extended family are coming to AZ for a family trip Labor Day weekend 2026. The plan is for Sedona, I am looking for mild to moderate trails in the area and looking for information regarding trails that would need passes.

I was thinking of the following trails:

Soldiers Pass
Broken Arrow
Schnebly Hill

Any other recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Hey all, headed to Flag in a week and figured I’d check out Sedona since I’ve never been. Granted I’ll be in my hundo 100 it’s only right to check out some trails. I understand the connotation the area often gets with pink jeeps and people on foot however it’s something I’d like to do at least once. What’s everyone favorite? Don’t care if it’s a black or a blue. Appreciate the input all!

The SAGA continues. Before we head down to Sedona we’re staying in flagstaff for two days. Are there any cool forest roads or trails near by worth hitting before we head down to broken arrow? Appreciate the suggestions

Does anyone know the process as far as when passes become available? The passes are available as far out as June but do they slowly open them up at the end of each month?
