I put a set of these tires on my '04 LX after an extensive search for AT tires that would fit my budget and driving style. Total cost was $843 out the door, mounted and balanced, from a large regional tire chain. I'm running 275/70 18's on stock wheels.

I got turned onto the Falkens after reading some rave reviews from the Taco and Tundra guys. The Wildpeak AT3's currently sport the deepest tread depth of any comparable AT tire on the market. I was looking for something that would a) handle deep, wet, heavy snow in urban conditions that I often face in southeast Michigan winters, b) handle light wheeling and deep snow covered back roads in northern Michigan, c) have good road manners for daily driving situations, d) fit my budget of around $900, and e) look bad ass. The Wildpeaks appear to have checked all those boxes.

Short term review:
I have about 2000 miles of mixed driving on these tires over the last couple of months. Here are my observations.

Urban/pavement. Daily commuter driving: They ride smooth, straight and true. There's a bit of additional road noise as compared to the General HTS light truck tires they replaced but nothing outrageous. Even at highway speeds the ride is great and the noise is moderate. In wet pavement, heavy rain conditions the tires really shine. Although the tread pattern is deep and aggressive, it's also siped nicely no seems to funnel rain water away superbly. Traction andgrip remain excellent.

Urban winter driving conditions: these are the conditions I was really looking forward to driving in. (See photo) One word- amazing. I drove about 125 miles round trip on I75 the other day in terrible driving conditions- basically dead nuts in the middle of a 28- hour winter storm warning. . 6-7 inches of fresh, heavy wet snow on unplowed and unsalted freeways. Saw no less than a dozen wrecks in those 125 miles. All I can say is I felt invincible. These tires truly dominated the snow. The heavy, slushy transitions between lanes offered next to no resistance. Traction was amazing. I've driven thousands of miles in conditions like these and have never felt anything quite so confidence inspiring. My 80-series with the excellent Michelin LTX's was unstoppable in this type of snow, but i have to say the Wildpeak/100 - series combo is even better.

Deep off-road snow: I took the LX off road a bit to test out the tires in untracked moderately deep snow. In 7-8" of wet snow the truck just walked right through like it was nothing. As far as I can tell ATRAC never engaged, the truck just plain crushed the snow. These tires appear to eat snow for breakfast. Im pretty blown away.

Mud: untested
Sand/dirt off-road: untested

Ahh, signature line. Didn't even notice. Also "last seen Mar 7th"

Thanks for that,

I've been running these in LT275/70R18 and think they are brilliant! Only have about 1500 miles (mixed highway, urban and sandy low country tracks) on them to date but couldn't be happier.

305-65-18 I just put on my lx last week, I have maybe 100 miles around town but so far seem real solid and I think they look pretty solid

Ordered a full set from discount tire yesterday in 275/65r18's (including spare) as I've read nothing but good things about them. Hopefully they arrive tomorrow. Excited to see how they do.

I am planning on buying these for my Rock Warrior wheels soon. Are you guys using the 117s or the 121s?

What tire pressures are you guys running?

I mounted my 285/70-17s Falken AT3Ws this weekend. I am starting with 37 psi all-around.

I'm running 38 psi for street and 20 psi for off-road on my LT275/70-18's. I've had them down to 17 psi, but prefer to have some margin on the lower aspect ratio of the 18's.

36psi all round in LT "E" 275/70/18s. Load - Inflation tables indicate 35psi to match/slightly exceed OEM "P" tire load/inflation data.

I've had them on my LX for nearly two years and a little over 10,000 miles. The tires are still as quiet as when they were new, and the tread blocks are still crisp and well defined. I've dropped my normal street pressures to 32 psi as I don't drive it on the highway as much, and I've noticed better comfort thanks to increased sidewall and tread compliance. They grip well on loose gravel and dirt, and have proved to be adequate on snow/ice.

I just for a set of these few months ago and love them

I’ve had mine for 4K miles, starting to hum a little more but it’s barely noticeable. No visible tread wear as far as I can tell. Only have gotten stuck once in slushy snow that the car high-centered on, otherwise it’s been unstoppable!
