Factory USB Not Recognizing iPhone

Started a while back, being finicky. Music would just stop or the phone would not charge. Today it seems to have stopped working altogether. The charging cord is good. I’ve cleaned the USB port.

Anyone else experience the same issue?

Is there a remedy?

Try another cord? or the BlueTooth option.

Trying a different cord was my first attempt at process of elimination. Same result. I even thought it could be my phone; happens with other phones too though.

I have connected via Bluetooth but didn’t like it. Phone calls over the stereo system is irritating. Pain connecting too.

Maybe I’m doing it wrong though.

When that happened to me, I fixed it with a new usb cable.

cord only for charging. Bluetoothing for music/calls/etc.
