Factory Roof Crossbars

Does anyone know if it’s possible to remove the roof crossbars that come from the factory? I unscrewed the front one today on both sides, but couldn’t get it to come out. Am I missing a step? Cheers!

Pull off the rear caps. They'll slide right out. Rear caps are best released with some kind of plastic pry tool. They'll snap right off. Just take your time. Maybe 10 seconds a side.
