i had the front axle out and noticed that the bump stops are different. one has 60 and the other has 40 stamped into the rubber. how do i know which side is which?

i know that the driver/left front springs have more arch than the right due to the pumpkin on the passenger/right. does the 40 go on the passenger/right so it compresses until driver/left catches up then hits the 60 which will not compress as much.

or

the 60 go on the passenger/right to not allow it to compress as much as the 40 on the driver/left.

i remember the same thing when i had my 4runner axle apart in the past but it had 90 and 100 stamped into the rubber.

any toyota experts know?

part number bump stop ending in 40 is for the left hand side (drivers side) and the 60 goes on the right hand side (passenger side) if the part numbers are correct that I looked up , that is how they go , you might want to check before you install.. and bump stop 100 (LH) and 90 (RH) for 84 and 85 4runners
