Hi All

i bought a GX460 last year and it came with winter tires on F-Sport wheels. My wife drove it around for the winter and in the spring I put on a set of factory wheels from our totaled GX470. The 470 wheels fit perfect with the correct toyota lug nuts. The Fsport wheels use conical lugs. When i went to put the winters back on in the fall, I noticed the wheel studs in the front are shorter than the rear (normal, according to the web). The only thing I didn't like is I didn't get as many turns on the front as I'd like... I've heard of people putting extended studs for aftermarket wheels, but these are F Sport wheels... The lug nuts I am using, as far as I can, tell are genuine.

Depends how many turns you are getting. I have always had in my mind that 7 full turns on a lug is what you want. I do not know where I adopted that thinking though.

The OEM shank-style lugs from the 470 have that extended shank for more thread engagement and should give you the same turns as the conical seat ones from the F-sports I would imagine.

Unless somehow you have some aftermarket thick-azz brake rotors on there.
