F.D. Knob

This is on a 1963 fixed top fj45. I have searched pictures on the site to see if anyone else had something similar without luck. I am guessing it is not original but wanted to ask the experienced folk here first.

So is there any chance this is original?

Not original, I would assume O D stands for overdrive??

I have never seen one like that. I actually prefer that one over the original "FD". Looks more sturdy and easier to pull. Any chance you can flip the handle so the OD faces down?

You could turn the OD down but then you would see the screw whole that holds it on. I like it myself and design seems practical. Maybe someone could make some that say F.D. on them.
