I know nothing, BUT FWIU the 74 F head has the same oiling system(read: bolt on)and has smaller combustion chambers. I don't know how much the difference is, but I understand going from a first gen(75-79) 2F head to a very late F head is a compression gain on a first gen 2F. Going from the F head to a 2F head on an F motor won't work w/o modifying the 2F head for the F engine oiling UNLESS it is a late74 F motor. The 2F head on an F motor will be a compression loss. The later 2F heads have closed chambers and won't work on early 2f heads, whereas the early 2F head will work on the late 2F for a compression loss. HTH. I'll dig up my transition F head and post the casting numbers tomorrow.
