This is probably a stupid question but here goes.
Should my tail pipe be welded to the muffler where it leaves the back of the muffler.
Last year I had an exhaust shop replace the loud a** muffler with something quieter.
My rear most exhaust hanger broke recently and I was checking it out and getting ready to weld a new hanger on when I noticed the tailpipe spins in the muffler.
It sure seems like it should be welded but maybe the exhaust shop left it unwelded for a reason....
Should I weld it or leave it?
