exhaust dump law question

hye im in va an dhave an 86runner. im wondering if anyone knows the laws on where i can dup my exaust out. i know it has to be behind the cb in a p/u but what bout an suv/ convertable???
any help ?

never dump it out behind the cab if you plan on taking the top off

It depends on local law enforcement. There's lots of little things on the books that they can charge you with. Unless they have orders to go after specific violations (or you get on their bad side) they are already too busy.

I got pulled over in Arizona last year, they wanted my plate to be more visible. I had no mudflaps and I'm running Rallye 4000's (w/55 watt bulbs to not be a jerk) as my headlights. The cops said everything else was cool, they just really like to see plates.

If you're gona experiment just bend one law at a time.

my old rig was all over the laws( most broken) but with a new(to me )rig i wasnt sure. i might run it like an 80 on the outside of the frame.... we will see...
