At 43% these exchanges are out of hand!

I just ordered 3 air cleaners and 10 oil filers (OEM - non-Toyota) for $102.95 USD (free shipping and no tax), equivalent to $147.22 $C.

At that exchange rate I am only saving $C90.57 - if I bought this stuff locally.

A year and half ago I would have saved $C125.51!

What is even stranger - the OEM oil filters I am buying out of New York state are Made In Canada.

Bring on the low CDN dollar; much better overall for our country's economy. Anything that helps exports is far better than helping imports. Our dollar is an oil dollar, so that means lower oil prices, reducing transportation costs, which helps to lower costs of consumer goods.

You'll recoup that $35 in gas savings alone in a month :)

Hopefully this post drives the dollar back up......

No one complained when the dollar was at par. Everyone knew it was not going to last.

Anyone with any recent memory should have been expecting rates to drop this low again. It's where it was in the early 00's pre economic down turn of witch Canada survived and likely benefited from.

Our dollar is tied very closely with oil. Oil dips so does our dollar oil goes up so does our fuel price......and possibly our dollar.

You lads are missing my main point -- it is not the exchange its the outrageous Canadian prices

^agreed! :)

Whats a OEM non-Toyota made in Canada? Its a head scratcher for sure

OEM non Toyota? - refers all other OEM parts supplier than Toyota.
The OEM Subaru oil filters I get from the US are Made in Canada.
US cost = $5.12
Can Cost = $11.25

unless I read it wrong, Air Fitler is OEM and Oil are Non so thats why you put (OEM - Non Toyota)

I have a healthy supply the Japanese 30002's... plug I found a place that sells the 30002 for 19USD with drain plug gasket and free shipping :)
