I need to transport my restored BJ about 300 miles.

As far as open carrier, I am reluctant on the 6 car carriers. what if they put it in the bottom rack and any thing leaks from the vehicles on top. Just don't want to take any chances. In that case I think the safest would be a single vehicle bed/carrier.

I guess enclosed carrier would be best. Need recommendations for any reputable companies who can do the enclosed shipping in Washington DC metro area please.

AS you can see I am bit concerned about safety of my vehicle so any general advice is much appreciated!

Really depends on what exactly you are shipping. You are correct that there is the possibility of liquid damage from above, but there are also wedge trailers that would eliminate that concern. Enclosed will run you almost double the price of open and short trips like yours will be very expensive per mile compared to longer journeys.
