Is 350 degree paint high enough for painting an engine? I talked to the local paint store and they said 350 is enough and can be used on the frame and block etc. seems borderline to me but what do I know!

VHT spray paint comes in 250 and 550 degree versions.

I was wanting to use a paint with a hardener for durability...wasn’t sure the rattle can paint would stand up long term. I want to have this painted once and not have to worry about fade etc. is that wrong thinking on my end?

Check out the POR-15 engine paint. I think it has a very high temp rating. Mine has been on for a few years and still looks great.
