Hey all

Wife's ride is a 2011 with 128k and a month or so ago she tells me LC acting funny, like an occasional skipping when she applies throttle, or a couple stutters/shutters while pressing the pedal...

When I drove it for a couple days I did notice something was not right, but it hard to replicate and hard to describe….

...typically happens at lower RPM but at different speeds when you press the gas the 200 struggles or skips a beat 2 or 3 times, like a bang, bang, bang, not a bang sound but a feel, the 200 is struggling…

I originally thought it was transmission, but I think it could be misfire…

When the dealer had it in of course could not replicate symptoms…trans checked out all good. They even did a transmission shift remap TSB blah blah and said for her to drive it for a week to relearn etc. Wife drove it but still acting up so now back to dealer.... I am hoping to be a bit more educated in how to explain symptoms and want to try to take a tech for a ride but since hard to replicate not hopeful it will act up while tech in LC...

Anyone have a clue to what I am describing?

May be a coil pack or bad plug wire

thanks for the reply terdrocket....

UPDATE: when I took in on monday they had me take the service manager on a test ride to try to replicate the problem and we both felt the stutter. he then hooked up his trusty computer and drove around to capture the data...turned out to be a slight misfire and bad coil (#1).

unfortunately they did find some oil in a couple of the spark plug tubes...sounds like it common in the 5.7?...so lets hope not an issue any time soon but they said could need head machined in future $$$...?

Head machined for oil in the spark plug tube? May need to find a new dealer. Thats just a seal on the valve cover. Search will find someone who just went through this.
