Engine light and Airbag light in my 40th

Yes, like RavenTai sais FSM is the factory service manual. CruiserDan can get it for you at a good price or you can get 24 access online for $10 through toyota's web site.

The diagnostic connector on my '96 was on the engine side of the firewall on the passenger side. I think it says "diagnostic" or something similar on the plastic cover. The pinouts are labeled on the inside of the cover as I recall.

The Instructions posted above from RavenTai are excatly what you'll find in the FSM, except the FSM will tell you what the codes you find mean, and also how to troubleshoot each code.

I searched FAQ's and general search for: "FSM, Factory Service Manual, Manual, Service" and I did not come up with where to download the LX450 FSM. Please help.

My 97 40th gets the P0401 mil light on and off at least 2 times a month. Airbag warning...I wouldn't fool with as has been said. get that one fixed.
Mine has dual passengerside airbags....one in the dash, one in the seat...
