So I picked up a 65qt Engel ice cooler yesterday at the Outdoor retailers show in Salt Lake. I went to get an Iceekool or a Yeti cooler, but decided to get the Engel. Has anyone used one of these? I noticed that it had a strong chemical odor to it when I got it home. Any idea how to get rid of it? It's rotomolded polythelyne with 2" of polyurethane and a thick black rubber seal on the lid.

On a side note I passed on the new 40qt freezer at wholesale prices. I know not smart, but I just couldn't swing the funds.

Do you still have this cooler ?

How would you rate the quality after 2 years ?

I know they can be power washed and cleaned with a bleach / water mixture to remove any odors.

Sorry, I've been away for a while. I still love the cooler. I bought an Engel 45 fridge last year so the cooler has had a little less use, but still gets used once a month and I used it in Wyoming for a week where I didn't have access to my rig. It has held up well. I'd buy an Engel, Yeti or Galaxy cooler again.
