I just picked up a 148 Transit to build out into a camper van. I am picking it up in NJ and driving it to UT sometime in the next 2-4 weeks. I'll be doing a "bare bones" build before driving including insulation, power system, and a bed in the back. But will have a decent amount of space including the entire "garage" at the back under the bed for storage.
