Electrical Question

Went to get into my 55 one night and pulled the headlight switch and my running lights came on but no headlights. They were working the previous night. Replaced the switch with one that I know works and still have the same issue. I checked all the wiring under the dash and throughout the engine bay and cannot seem to locate any issues. I used a test light and determined that i have power to the switch but no power at the headlight connectors at the headlight itself.

I was told the other reason might be caused by the dimmer assembly for high/low beam. But wanted to eliminate all other potential possibilities before removing the steering wheel.

yep, check the dimmer side of the circuit. IIRC, the light switch routes power to the dimmer, the dimmer, routes that to either the lo side or high side.....HTH
