89 Toyota Xtra cab SR5 aprox 249K on the ODO
-Squeling comming from engine likely a belt issue.
-Problem the electrical overloaded burning out fuse some trace of smoke in cab.
-Charge gauge spike randomly and when brake pedal is pressed the left flasher displays on dash not flashing but solid.
-Stereo display also reads overload so there is some source higher than 12v.
My first thought was bad ground but not sure because squeeling started days before overload issue.
Alt could be about to detonate itself not sure....has anyone ever had issues with their Alt overloading the system...I have never had any issues with my LCs other than the brushes wearing out but I dont know if these have internal regulator issues.
I am 2000 miles away from this truck it belongs to my son so I am trying to long distance trouble shoot for him so any and all feedback from you guys here in the truck section will be apreciated.
