Has anyone repaired the electrical connections within the Spindle of an Electric Locking Hub setup? Of the two pin connections within the spindle, one measures open circuit from the connector side on the back of the spindle, to the slip ring contact point at the spindle shaft end. Would I simply need to remove the potting material on the backside of the spindle and repair a bad solder joint or broken wire or ??? I've tried to find a replacement spindle but found none. As such, I'm assuming repair is my only option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
